Category: Who We Are

Meet Our Sales Team

Last year, as we approached our 40th Anniversary, we detailed the account of who we are, and where we came from as a company. This year as we continue to celebrate that anniversary, we sat down with some of our amazing staff members to learn more about them, and who THEY are as individuals. We asked our sales team a few questions to get to know them a bit better, as well as learn what keeps them driven in our industry. Take a look at their answers below. Who do you think has the best plumbing joke?

Cylisa Brown

What is it about plumbing that keeps you engaged year after year?

I really enjoy helping people and providing facility solutions. It’s also great to see customers smiling faces after we have solved a problem for them.

What would you say is the best thing about working at The Part Works?

The Part Works does a great job at building trust within our small team. The relationships with my teammates as well as with my customers make this place amazing.

What do you like to do for fun?

Away from work I like to get outside to hike, mentor youth, engage in church activities and spend time with my amazing family.

What would you find in Superman’s bathroom? A Superbowl. I know….corny.

I enjoy the fact that it is still an evolving trade. The basics don’t really change, but we are seeing electronic technology upgrades in many facets of the plumbing industry. For example, we are now seeing more “smart” faucets coming online, and electronic mixing valves that are far more accurate than the previous thermostatic controlled units.

What would you say is the best thing about working at The Part Works?

We all get to give input into company changes and procedures. Our input is always appreciated and encouraged. Also, being with a small company allows us to “pivot” and make changes when we need to which is especially important in light of current events.

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy bicycling, skiing, international travel, and recently have got back into playing golf. There are a couple of us that have a Monday evening tee time. I also enjoy taking trips in our motorhome with my wife and two dogs, and maybe getting in a little wine tasting.

What is it about plumbing that keeps you engaged year after year?

I enjoy this industry because it is a stable industry that will be around for years. People will consistently need plumbing help, and I don’t anticipate that changing any time soon.

What would you say is the best thing about working at The Part Works?

The Part Works is full of helpful people willing to help others, it is really a family atmosphere. I like being so close with my colleagues and we can really count on each other. There is also excellent tech help, which makes my job run smoothly.

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy getting outside and more specifically I love taking trips to waterfalls and mountains.

Why are Ants so healthy? They have little anti-bodies. Ok, so it’s not plumbing related.

Why is it so hard to be a plumber in Russia? Because you aren’t allowed to change anything about the system.

What is it about plumbing that keeps you engaged year after year?

I still learn something new just about every day. That and the relationships I have formed with my customers and co-workers are closer than in any other job I could imagine. It really makes it easy to stay engaged, focused, and driven.

What would you say is the best thing about working at The Part Works?

It’s all about the people. Both customers and co-workers are what really make this company great. We have a great team, and this company wouldn’t be the same without them.

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to spend quality time with my wife and daughters. I also like to play golf on the weekends.

I really enjoy partnering with our customers to repair and improve their facilities. It’s very rewarding to be a part of their team and help them figure out solutions.

What would you say is the best thing about working at The Part Works?

I really like working with The Part Works (notice I said working with). Ownership and management promote working together as a team, offers us training opportunities, don’t hold us back if we want to try new ideas, allow us to find new markets, and don’t micro manage. It’s an ideal working situation.

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to fish (as you can see from my photo), crab, and ride motorcycles.

Funny joke? I don’t know if it’s funny… Three things you need to know about plumbing; crap flows down hill, the check is in the mail, and don’t bite your fingernails!

We’d like to give a HUGE thanks to Cylisa, Morgan, Mike, Chris, Tyler, and Michael for your answers, best plumbing jokes, amazing array of photos, and of course your continued hard work and dedication to The Part Works.
